Moon Over Buffalo

Performances: Sept. 22, 23, 24, 25, 30, Oct. 1 and 2
Charlotte and George Hays, fading theater stars of the 1950's, are on tour in Buffalo with a repertory consisting of Cyrano De Bergac and Private Lives. Fate has given these thespians one more shot at starring roles in the movie The Scarlet Pumpernickel, and director Frank Capra is on his way to Buffalo to catch their matinee performance. Will Charlotte appear, or run off with their agent? Will George be sober enough to emote? Will Capra see Cyrano, Private Lives, or a disturbing mixture of the two? Hilarious misunderstandings pile on madcap misadventures in this valentine to theater hams everywhere. 

Last Train to Nibroc

In December, 1940, an eastbound train carries the bodies of Nathaniel West and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Also on board is May, who shares her seat with a charming young flyer, Raleigh. Religious and bookish, May plans to become a missionary. Raleigh has just been given a medical discharge, and inspired by West and Fitzgerald, is headed to New York to become a writer when they discover they are from neighboring Appalachian towns. Raleigh decides to switch trains and head back to Kentucky and promises to take May to the next Nibroc Festival. A year and a half later, they meet at the festival, but the romance has a rocky road...
Something to Hide

Howard is a writer, residing in a charming house in the English countryside, where his wife (also his publisher) visits him each weekend. During the week, he is joined by his mistress, a fact that his wife is aware of, but Howard doesn't know she knows! the story begins with the departing mistress apparently run over and killed by the wife as she enters the driveway. Howard gallantly offers to dispose of the body, starting a sequence of events with one unexpected turn after another. A classic thriller with diabolically clever twists and turns, Something to Hide will keep you guessing right up to the surprise ending.

An American Daughter

Lyssa Dent Hughes is the privileged, well educated daughter of a well known Republican Senator and a 5th generation daughter of Ulysses S. Grant. She is the wife of a professor, a mother, and a prominent health expert who is nominated for the Surgeon General. When the media discovers that she once failed to respond to jury duty, that one simple error snowballs and her career and personal life are threatened. this play makes a distinct and often amusing attempt to expose the soft underbelly of American political life, its media awareness, and its subsequent confusion of public opinion polls and democracy. 

In the Restroom at Rosenbloom's

This is the story of three elderly ladies who spark their lonely lives by meeting in the restroom lounge of an outdated department store, and the crazy, touching, events that happen one day when one of the women is threatened. the ladies seek to stop Winifred from being taken by her sister, leading to a blockade of the restroom door in a fight to protect her freedom. A visit to Rosenbloom's is worth the trip! Quirky characters, punchy lines, and lighthearted humor fill this story. 

Two addition shows have been added this season. These shows are not included in the season ticket package, but are open to the public. 

2012 Summer Youth Show:
You Can't Take it With You

Performances: July 19, 20, 21, 22
This show relates the humorous encounter between a conservative family and the crazy household of Grandpa Martin Vanderhof. Grandpa's family of idiosyncratic individualists amuses with their energized physical antics and inspires others with their wholehearted pursuit of happiness.
